so my friends and I decided that we were going to float the river in New Braunsfuls however they give me a days notice so thursday night they tell me, and I work friday so I am left incharge of tubes music and beer. Tubes no problem have them in my gradge, I can get the beer when I get there. now the interesting thing is the music you cant just throw a radio in the river and have the music selection you want, and the ipod marine systems are like 230.00 or so. so I make a " protable" cooler radio(portable is in quotes for a reason wait and see).

step one. gather items required for said cooler radio, radio/ speakers/  cooler/ battery and some wires.

step two. have some basic wiring knowlage.

step three. take cooler perferably one you dont mind sacrificing and trace speakers and drill pilot holes

step four. cut out speaker opening i used air powered saw jig saw or sawzall might work

step five. place battery in cooler  strap it down some how and glue radio to side of cooler

step five. install speakers  wire radio power and ground, seal speakers with silicone, paint it to your fancy i had this color laying around

now i know this isnt a great how to but condidering i threw this together with stuff i had laying around and in under an hour
however i did make a last minitue modification that is not pictured i went out and bought a 15 watt solar pannle to keep battery charged as we floated the river just drilled hole in top fed wire through siliconed the hole and wire attached to battery and done  total cost incurred 54.14 for the solar pannle,

portable was in quotes cause the battery in the cooler came out of my ramcharger along with the radio and speakers
sorry the pictures are not great they are off of my phone.

what do yall think?
btw version 2.0 is in the brainstorming phase
