so how about a "Redneck Fab" hall of shame? sure we all like to brag about how we built a emergency wheel bearing out of a soda can and a frozen hot dog, but what about the ones nobody wants to lay claim to? you know- the hack jobs, the p.o.s. things that get built when nobody's looking. i would like to nominate the first candidate for approval. as you can see, the top of the frame rails have been hack to accept a set of headers that OBVIOUSLY have no business being there. i'm thinking that i'll bolt a heavy piece of angle iron over the notched section then weld the hell out of it. this isn't the scariest part of the frame either but i'll save that for it's own pic.

I bought my 85 RC wiith the headers and modified framew rails. Needles to say, there are no headers in project 84's future.

so how about a "Redneck Fab" hall of shame?
Like the bondo over duct tape I found on my Zuk? Or the concrete used as body filler on my RC? Yes, I said FILLER! Looked like the taped cardboard over the holes in the ft and back of the wheel wells and filled it with concrete!

It worked on my old Fiero when i ripped the fenders open while high speed trail riding with it stupid
Silver paint over silver duct tape on a faded silver/gray car.
From more than 4ft away, you couldn't tell the difference.

... loosing it at 80MPH on a dirt trail and ending up in the bush kinda beats the crap out of a fiberglass body uglystupid

well, i'm a little confused. it seems that those just might be the right headers after all. why then did the frame need to get hacked??? maybe it has the wrong motor mounts so it sits too close/low/off-centered?? i don't have a part number for the headers on there now, but they look exactly like the new set i was just about to order. WTF?Huh?no clue

the guy who owned my RC prior to myself used a drill to make a notch to fit the headers in. he literally drilled out the frame rails with ~3/16" bit to make room. it looked pretty awesome  stupid
